Emma was no stranger to staking out a place. It was a bit harder in a town as small as Storybrooke, but she felt confident in her skills. She did not hang around like she used to with people without magic, but she made a point to keep an eye on the place as she went about her business and other busy work. Once she was certain that Belle was alone in the store, she waited a while longer before entering the dim shop.
As she waited for Belle to make it out of the back, she took some time to look at the various odds and ends within Mr Gold's shop. Knowing that most of the items belonged to the various residents of Storybrooke did not sit well with her. Seeing all of these unclaimed items, or unable to be claimed, felt odd to her. Why had Mr Gold bothered collecting them all? Bargaining, probably, but yet even after the curse broke he seemed to make no effort to make deals to return the items. It was a curious thing indeed and one that she would puzzle over later.
In the meantime, she had something bigger on her mind than misplaced trinkets.
