Well, Emma and Hook do certainly have an... interesting relationship. With Emma's fear of giving her heart to someone, she generally rebuffs his advances, but sometimes she doesn't. She isn't sure how she feels about him, but they do have a connection of some sort - even if it's only lust. Either way, they do each other good. His flirtations and seeming devotion does help bring her out of her shell.
And whether or not she'll admit it, she is glad to have his company and does consider him someone she can, to an extent trust. That and he does challenge her and kind of pulls her out of her protective wall a bit. While she isn't necessarily willing to pursue a relationship with him, she wouldn't mind getting to know the flirtatious pirate better
