It was almost pitch dark. The only light source coming from a few flickering street lamps on the other side of the street and a dimly lit closed sign hovering over the hardware store. But Belle paid no mind, the dark never bothered her like it did some. She wasn't worried about what was lurking about in the night, no monsters to be afraid of here. Her rather tall heels, worn to make up for her rather short height, clicked lightly against the sidewalk as she walked. Cars were still too much for her, preferring the feel of her feet firmly planted on the ground instead. She had been working overtime at the library ever since her honeymoon ended. Cut abruptly short by the sudden appearance of Elsa and the opening of that portal in the middle of town. Things had been stressful, she had been feeling it all too well. And she couldn't help but feel as if something was up - not just with the new arrivals but also with her new husband. There was the nagging feeling, floating under the surface, attempting to push its way out. Something was wrong, but what that was, she couldn't tell.
It had to be the loss of his son. Still all too fresh in everyone's mind. That was not something you just got over, couldn't just have a wedding and forget about your past. It didn't work that way, and even if it did that was not something she would wish for her Rumple. He needed to deal with this pain and eventually accept it. Only then could they move forward and focus on their future together. Only...she still felt like there was more behind that. Something else hidden beneath that mask that he wasn't showing her. But no. She forced that thought away, not for the first time that day either. Doubts would do her no good here.
So instead she spent her day throwing herself into the one thing that she could always count on, her books. She searched the collection from Rumple's shop and what was in the library, hoping to find something to explain away this sudden portal. So far nothing helpful had come up. A few possible reasons for it's existence, but nothing on who put it there and why it wasn't closing. It was just a mystery. Finally, after a full day of coming up empty handed, she gave in. Time to head home and lock up. Grabbing her purse - double and triple checking that the dagger was still nestled softly inside - she headed outside. Arms wrapping carefully around her body, shielding herself from the chill and making her wish she had a jacket. But she hadn't thought that far ahead, didn't think about how cold it had been lately.
A sound startled her from her thoughts, head shooting up to glance around. Finding nothing. But still...she felt the skin at her neck prickle, goosebumps forming on her arms. "Who's there?" Voice sounding confident, if only shaking just a tad. Maybe she was more fearful of the dark then she thought before.

It was a weird feeling but there was a feeling deep down in Sven stomach that something was wrong very wrong. He looked up with a terrified look on his face; this place was not Arendelle or Misthaven. The street was made of something hard at least he could tell that as he stood in the middle of the road. He looked around at the things before him and noticed one thing important was missing, Kristoff. He began to think that he should have never left Kristoff side to…. Sven brown eyes widen in confusion as he came to realize that he had been standing on two feet. “The feeling.” Sven’s hands came to his mouth. Confusion quickly became scared.
Sven started to panic and his breathing became irregular. He had two feet instead of four hooves, two small ears instead of his alters, and a nose instead of a snout. This gave him good reason to freak the heck out. Sven began to stumble around as his balance suddenly came to realize that he was not use to having just two legs. He fell into some metal can that made a clashing sound as they fell to the ground with him. Realizing that walking may not be answer he had debated on crawling on his stomach as he did when he was reindeer every time he slipped on the ice. Kristoff never did that sort of thing or it would be right out sill, Sven did it as a reindeer and it was very cute.
He had no clue what his next move was going to be, try the human walk again, crawl, roll anything that could get him into a direction and off the metal cans. Sven heard a female voice that did not belong to Elsa or Anna so he knew it was unfamiliar voice. Once again he debated with himself unsure if he should reply in his new human voice. The voice was unfamiliar so perhaps it belonged to someone dangerous. “Help.” It just came out of his mouth without thinking about the words. Sven couldn’t help but to smile a bit at the sound of his own voice. As a reindeer there was, well reindeer noises with the occasionally raspberry sound. He had no trouble commutating with Kristoff, all it took was a certain look, and nudge and Kristoff would do a voice for Sven, and reply like a crazy person. But Sven loved it and loved Kristoff for it. Now here he was doing it all on his own with no Kristoff.

Heart beating faster now, feeling the signs of panic starting to creep their way in. Belle was brave, that much was true. Always had been - a firm believer that by doing the right thing, doing the brave thing, that bravery would follow. And so far it always had. But that did not mean she was not susceptible to panic and fear. Especially here, in Storybrooke. The memories of all those years locked up in that cell, in the basement of the hospital still fresh in her mind. The feeling she got whenever those heels came down the stairs, stopping in front of her door. Regina's eyes staring back at her. But fear was healthy. Kept you alert, kept your mind sharp and made it easier to avoid doing anything stupid. So she embraced it as the sounds of trashcans falling to the ground reached her ears. Stood a little straighter, eyes darting around for the source.
Small, little hesitant steps forward. Hand clinging tightly to her purse as she moved, observing the still empty street. "H-hello?" This time her voice coming out more in a whisper, slightly shaky. Paused and listened, using everything she remembered from her time in the Enchanted Forest. Head cocked to the side, ear to the wind. Nothing. A small sigh at the realization that it was probably just a wild animal or the wind. Or even just her overactive imagination getting the best of her. It had happened before. She turned around, intent on getting back home to Rumple when something stopped her. A voice. One single word. Help. Any thoughts of leaving vanished. Any doubt that it was a person gone.
She spun on her heels, rushing off to the sound, any fear left evaporating. Someone was in trouble, someone was asking for help. There was no way she could ignore that even if she wanted to. Not good hearted Belle. It took her exactly one minute to find the source, a man looking fearful and out of place. Breathing irregular and clearly looking lost, terrified even. She stopped short, not wanting to scare him anymore then he already was. "Are you alright?" Her accented voice coming out a lot more steady then before. One hand slightly raised, showing that she wasn't going to hurt him as she took a hesitant step forward. "I've never seen you before...are you hurt?"
