PERSONALITY At first glance Belle is sometimes mistaken for a pretty wallflower and nothing more. While it is true she is beautiful - there is so much more to her. She is brave, willing to risk her life for the ones she cares about no matter the cost. But she is brave, not stupid nor reckless. She thinks things out, weighs the risks and calculates the best option. Because that is one of her greatest strengths, her intelligence. She loves to read more then anything (well, almost more then anything) and often lets her books take her away on adventures. However, she doesn't let them consume her. If anything they have only helped shape her. She is a firm believer that there is good in everyone. It's her special talent, she is able to see beyond the black heart or harsh words to the good below. Belle is also a hopeless romantic, always has been. She hates the idea of giving up love and will always stay true to her heart. Belle is a sweetheart - with a slight feisty side. When she loves she loves with all her heart, giving everything she has to give. Her heart has been broken one time in her life. A memory that would still make her cringe if it wasn't that that story had a happy ending. The day Rumple told her he valued power over her, the day he told her to leave his life. It was the most heart wrenching day of her life. Because she did love him, with everything she had and she was willing to risk it all for him. Laughter. Sunshine. Picnics. Rumple. Hamburgers. Books. Just a few of her favorite things. Any one of them bound to put a smile on her face. HISTORY Born to Sir Maurice and his wife Colette, Belle was the first and only child. Her life growing up in Avonlea was a peaceful one. She had a brightness to her, always filled with laughter. But she was not like many children. Belle found herself most at home curled up in a book. It had always been that way for as long as she could remember. Ever since her mother taught her to read at a young age she was captivated. Her father often brought new books home whenever he was away. When she was old enough she became engaged to Sir Gaston - but not by choice. She argued against it many times, and it was finally her mother who managed to convince her. She had to keep the family name going. But luckily (or unluckily, depending on how you view it) life did not have that in store for her. Their peaceful existence was soon interrupted by the Ogre war. It threatened all of them. Men were dying, protecting the town, but it wasn't enough. Drastic measures had to be taken. So it was with that in mind that her father decided to call upon a name normally only spoken in whispered voices, the dark one. Rumplestilskin. He offered to protect the town, but wouldn't take gold. Not that they had much to give anyway. No, what he wanted was something all together different: Belle herself, as his maid. Despite her father and fiance objecting - she readily agreed. Anything to save her town. And away she went, taken to his castle in the middle of no where. She was given a place to sleep in the dungeon and instructed to keep the place clean, bring him tea, and make his meals. For weeks she cried herself to sleep, missing her family and even Gaston, as superficial as he was. Because anything was better then this life with him. He was self absorbed and possessive. More proof of that was found when they caught a thief in the middle of the night and he chose to skin him alive. Finally, she could take it no longer, she frees him when he's away. But despite her letting him go, he kept up his thief ways and stole a wand, causing the two to head out in search of him. This is when Belle sees something new - a small shred of good in his heart as he lets the thief go. That night she is given a new room in a new library. Her heart soften towards him and from that moment forward they start off with a slightly different relationship. As time went by she found herself becoming more interested in her captor, the only man she knew. For she firmly believed him a man and not the monster others saw. They start to develop a friendship. Things changing even more the moment he catchers her when she falls from a ladder. Though she never would have admitted it, that touch lit a spark in her. She soon finds out about his son and more of his life. Slowly, over time, she finds herself falling in love with him. But he stops her just short of learning more, keeping her just out of reach. Until one day he unexpectedly sets her free. Confused, she leaves unsure of what he is wanting from her. But knowing she should use this chance to see her father. The walk gives her time to think but before she can make a decision the Evil Queen stops her. During that conversation she realizes the truth: she loves him. Rushing back to the castle she greets him with a basket of straw and learns about his son. Not being able to stop herself any longer she kisses him - and the curse starts to break. But he stops it, pulls back and becomes angry. Lashes out at her. He kicks her out of the castle with harsh words, sending her away. She finds herself at a tavern, drinking to numb the pain. It only partially works. A dwarf named Dreamy encourages her to go out on an adventure, live her life. And so she does, following his advice she teams up with a drunken group of adventurers out to hunt to Yaoguai. She meets up with a warrior named Mulan and together they hunt the beast - all the while she tries not to think of Rumple. Once she departs from Mulan and Prince Philip (after saving him from the curse of the Yaoguai) she is captured by the Evil Queen, placed as prisoner in her palace. It is there she loses hope, no longer able to keep track of the days. Her heart aching. The days bleed together with nothing to mark the change in months. Until one event, a pirate claims he is there to rescue her but she refuses to go when she learns he wants to use her to kill Rumple. Once the Evil Queen's curse is complete she wakes up with no memories of her previous life, stuck in the basement of the hospital. Once again, kept captive. Her nights and days are confusing, bleeding together with no visits. Drugs, food, lack of sun, and nightmares haunt her every moment. Until one day hope comes in the form of a stranger - Jefferson lets her out with a simple order: Find Mr. Gold. Promises of him protecting her lead her to him. Strangely familiar, a part of her feels like she can trust him, follows him through the woods and to a wishing well. When the curse breaks and she remembers. She remembers everything. She kisses him, embracing the man she thought she would never see again. However things are far from perfect. He still avoids letting her all the way in, keeping her at arms length once more. When she is kidnapped and comes close to losing her memories she demands space from Mr. Gold and her father. That is enough - he comes back to her then, telling her the truth finally. It is then they begin a real relationship - complete with hamburger dates. Yet, once again, their relationship is pulled apart when he is set to leave to search for his son. She fully supports him and goes with him as he crosses the town line - only to be shot by Hook and pushed over the town line. Her own memories erased once again. With a little push from Regina she regains her false memories - that of Lacey. A barfly with a temper and attraction to danger. As Lacey, she starts to grow closer to the dark side of Mr. Gold. Until he gives her a potion to bring back her real memories. She watches as he leaves to find his son, stuck back in Storybrooke, running the library and feeling helpless. Thinking he doesnt need her and she will never see him again. Yet he returns - always finding his way back to her. For a moment in time it seems like things are fine, like they will work out for the better. Until he sacrifices himself for the town. The curse is broken and in a flash she is sent back to the Enchanted Forest. Heartbroken, feeling the death of the man she loves, she sets out with his son and a new plan in mind. She will bring him back. And they figure it out too - find a way to bring him back. But not without cost, his son. Zelena takes the dagger and sends Belle running for her life. But that year in the Enchanted Forest is soon erased from her memory as another curse is enacted. And then finally, after what seemed like ever, she marries the man of her dreams. Her Rumple. RP SAMPLE Out in the hallway, keeping an eye out for two types of people. The students wanting to join and those who would expose them. Luckily, only the former were showing up so far. But Ginny wasn't feeling particularly chatty this evening, hanging back and mostly letting Luna lead the others to the room of requirements. At least those who didn't know the way. And mostly keeping watch for any of the professors or Death Eaters that had a tendency to roam the halls. But lucky for them she had memorized their routes a long time ago. Helped plan this meeting for just the right time when they avoided this hallway. Just hoped none of them decided to change it up today. If they got caught... But no. She wouldn't think on that, not right now. Wouldn't let herself get distracted. They had a task, a pretty big one as it was. Needed to convince the students that this was the right thing, not only that they could fight them, but that they would. Some wouldn't need convincing. A lot of them would jump on board before they could even ask, even share their plans. But those with more to lose, they would take some time. Take some shifting around and well meaningful words to convince them that this was the right thing to do. Because it was the right thing to do. They couldn't just sit back and let them run the school. Everyone needed to do their part, needed to help Harry from here at Hogwarts. Couldn't just sit around while students were being tortured, while muggle borns were being threatened, while the Carrows roamed around free. Hopefully not for much longer. She thought briefly, remembering the deal she had made with Peeves. She walked up to Luna, almost put her hand on her shoulder but stopped herself. Not much for human contact these days. "I'm headed in." She whispered, giving a nod down the hallway and towards the room. Then she was following in the same direction, taking a deep breath before walking through the doorway. Steadying herself. Ignoring the permanent chill that seemed to always be in her bones these days. Ginny moved to the front of the room, making her way to stand next to Neville. She didn't say anything, didn't need to. Just gave him a small smile of encouragement. One nod. Letting the words pass by them unspoken. You can do this. Then her eyes scanned through the rest of the room, observing everyone who came out. Slightly surprised at the turn out so far. Half of her expecting only the group from before, but there were a handful of new faces. Including some Slytherins. Including that one Slytherin. Her guards instantly went in place, mind working on the defense right away. She wasn't sure how she felt about Nate - mixed emotions from distrust to confusion. Confusion about why he was here. And distrust at having two of those Slytherin's in the same room. Theo. Instantly on alert. Her eyes didn't stay on them long, moving to see who else was here. A small frown at the absence of Lilith and Natalie. But they would be here. Had to be here. Eyes back to Neville, handing out coins to everyone who walked in. Suddenly realizing she didn't have hers anymore, had given it to Lilith. She waited a beat, until no one was around him for a second. "Nev, I need a new coin." Didn't explain why. Just reached out her good arm to take one, feeling the cold metal in her hand. A wave of relief passing over her at the feel, not realizing how much she had missed hers in the past few weeks. How much it had meant to her. She placed it in her pocket, safely next to her wand. Letting her fingers grip at the wood for a moment, taking comfort in the fact she knew how to use it. Then back to the present, eyes watching for any newcomers and trying to figure out what they were going to say, how they were going to convince everyone this was what had to be done. |
